I am a professional funeral and wedding piper based in Bideford in North Devon. Although I am available to play at all sorts of events, I specialise in playing at funerals and weddings and travel throughout the South West and sometimes further afield.
My heritage is both Scottish and Devonian. My maternal grandfather joined the London Scottish Regiment at the beginning of the First World War in 1914, as a cook private. A number of promotions, a commission, and a Military Cross followed. He ended up as a major by the end of the war in 1918 and inspired me to pursue my Scottish heritage.

For over 30 years, I have been involved with running the Bideford Youth Pipe Band. I also play with the North Devon Pipes & Drums and the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service Ceremonial Unit. Playing with these bands has taken me and my pipes to - Scotland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, France, Spain, Wales, the United States and all over the South West.
Highlights of my piping career have been playing for several members of the Royal Family, including; HM The King, when he was the Prince of Wales, HRH Prince Philip, the former Duke of Edinburgh, and HRH the Princess Royal. Playing the Scottish national anthem at the Stade de France in Paris, for a six nations rugby match between France and Scotland was also an amazing experience.
